Google Acquired 79 Companies In 2011

Though times are hard for many with the economy down and so many people losing their jobs, gas prices being high, etc, etc for some successful businesses and companies of our time, all of these things bringing so many down are not affecting them at all. Take Google for instance who states their plans for this year:

“Our plans to continue to invest in systems, facilities, and infrastructure, increase our hiring, provide competitive compensation programs, and continue our current pace of acquisitions.”

Obviously the successful internet based company is not being drug down by the economy and everything else going on in the world since they clearly state impressive and specific plans for not only the future but for this year specifically.

Google is a well known search engine company where people can go to find the answers to virtually anything they could want or need to know. We’re talkin’ recipes, sport event scores, how to get the skunk smell off your dog, what time a TV show comes on, basic educational information (which would explain why such a popular term among students is “Google it”!), and the list goes on and on and on, literally. They also have a social networking site recently out called Google + and they hope to be some healthy competition for Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites of our time. Not to mention Google maps has helped out thousands if not millions of people with maps, directions, and the whole nine yards. Google Docs helps individuals and organizations and companies alike to do business online, stay organized, etc.

Needless to say we could go on and on about Google, its services & features for web page visitors, etc but this company is extremely successful and worth taking note of every now and then with its growth, success, and future plans speaking for itself.
